This installer will update your Nootka board to firmware v —.

A Nootka board
A USB-C → USB-A cable
About 10 minutes

Heads up: Do not unplug the board during the update.

Connect the board to your computer

Plug the USB-C → USB-A cable between the board and your computer.

Plug the USB-C end into the board.
Plug the USB-A end into your computer.

Tip: Make sure the cable is fully seated on both ends. Click Next once it's plugged in.

Put the board in bootloader mode

With the board already plugged in, do this combo so the board starts in firmware-update mode:

Press and hold the BOOT button on the board (bottom-right, next to RESET).
While still holding BOOT, briefly tap the RESET button.
Release BOOT.

Looking for board…

LED check: In bootloader mode the green and red LEDs should be OFF. During normal use, green is solid on and red is flashing. If you still see that pattern, repeat the BOOT + RESET sequence.

The board will look idle in bootloader mode — that's normal.

Update firmware

Click the button below. Keep the board plugged in until it's finished.
